Dr. Debprasad Dutta offers 11+ years of cross-sector experience gained cumulatively from government, private, and public organisations. Presently, he holds the position of Research Scientist at Mazumdar Shaw Center for Translational Research (MSCTR), specializing in translational neuroscience, neuroimmunogenetics, and neuroimaging biomarkers. He holds a PhD from NIMHANS and was a Commonwealth Split-site Scholar at the University of Liverpool under Prof. Tom Solomon (Director of Pandemic Institute), where he trained in neuroimmunology. Dr. Dutta brings 10+ years of research experience and a demonstrated commitment to mentoring and peer-to-peer knowledge transfer. He actively supervises junior researchers in ongoing projects at the Integrated Research on Neuroscience (IRoN) initiative, mentors graduate students and postgraduate researchers across multiple institutions, and serves as a Commonwealth Startup Advisor (Imperial College London, 2026). He is a pro-bono mentor on international platforms including RISING SCHOLARS, PushFar, Mentoring Club, and SholarsCOLAB, and recently mentored a Master's student from The Gambia through the Commonwealth Mentoring Program. Dr. Dutta advises undergraduate students through the Simply Neuroscience Action Potential Advisory Program and has successfully supervised research interns on immunology and translational neuroscience projects. His expertise spans molecular biotechniques, immunoassays, facility management, and clinical research methodology. He has been recognized through international conference awards and collaborates with research institutions across the UK, USA, Singapore, Georgia, and Australia.
